Yamina Tahiri was born in Beni Touzine, Morocco, in 1975. When she was two years old, she and her parents moved to Germany and have lived in Freiburg ever since. Having finished school with the “Abitur” certificate in business/economics, she studied to be a primary and secondary school teacher of geography, biology and German at Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg. In addition, Yamina obtained a qualification to teach Islamic religion.
